I worked closely with Cal Callahan during the three years he was a consultant for JC Systems, manufacturer of environmental chamber control systems. His efforts were a valuable contribution to the company, particularly in terms of customer goodwill and reduced tech support required.

Cal prepared user manuals for operation and maintenance of sophisticated electronic equipment, primarily environmental chamber controllers. His task involved creating the manuals in their entirety, from interpreting raw data, generating charts and diagrams to accompany the instrument operation and maintenance instructions, and desktop publishing the results.

He also developed brochures, data sheets, and a customer newsletter. The latter was a very effective tool for introducing new products and providing support to field technicians.
